In August, 2006 I traveled with another volunteer to Wheeled Coach in Winter Park, FL to pick up Lubbock's new Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV). On the way home we traveled through Slidell and New Orleans.
The fifteen ERVs delivered at this year's ERV-A-RAMA were purchased, along with four new chapter headquarters, with money donated by the Kuwaiti People. In recognition of this gift, these ERV have written on their sides the following: "This vehicle is provided by The Kuwaiti People and the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society in recognition of our mutual friendship and common mission.". Chapters receiving these special ERVs are: Plantation FL, Opelika AL, Gadsden AL, Tuscaloosa AL, Florence AL, Vero Beach FL, Naples FL, Meridian MS, Shreveport LA, Lubbock TX, New Orleans LA, Victoria TX, Wharton TX, Lufkin TX and Laredo TX.
