I had a fire call in Plainview last night that was one of the books. We arrived and the victims were nowhere to be found. We passed the time while the PD tracked them down by performing a damage assessment of the exterior of the home. It wasn't bad, mostly smoke damage with some fire damage to the roof. Anyway, we noticed the field across the alley and down a bit was smoldering and three trees were on fire. As we were already in contact with PD, we advised and they contacted FD who sent someone out to inspect. This photo was of that firefighter attempting to cut the burning wood out of a tree. Eventually, it proved to be too much for forest fire-fighting techniques and he had to call in a water truck.
Anyway, we eventually met up with the victims and have addressed their needs.
It's really not a bad photo considering it was taken with an iPhone and using a flashlight for a light source.
